Skiing is now based on a theoretical approach, rather than a mechanical one. This theory is looking for efficiency using the least amount of resistance taking out all unnecessary movement. Spped is key, and balance is necessary. This style of skiing is for everyone, allowing skiers to progress faster, with overall awareness, using the ski as a tool, maximizing it ability to minimize the skier's effort.
The Monza design process started with one thing in mind-speed. Wtih the new energetic lightweight Synaptic Core, bringin the weight of this ski down to just over 3 pounds, the Monza screams through the wakes! A 15" forebody flat-spot aids in stability and carries speed beyond the second wake. The 90 degree top edge maximizes width into turns while a concave blending radius holds the pace through the finish.
With the largest inside radius ever built into a high-end slalom ski, the Monza carves tighter turns with better hold upon completion. Overall softer bevels and a Dual-Bevel pattern produce a tighter ride creating a perfec blend of support speed and grip. Extra attention was put into creating a specific sidewall thickness ratio for a ski that rides balanced from tip to tail in the water. This allows the skier to ride with less movement, standing consistently over the top of the ski.
